Text Tags

A variety of text tags perform several functions within a document. Unlike presentation tags, text tags are directly related to the content of the text and the role it plays within the document.

In general, text tags can be used to do the following:

• Hilite text based on their meanings and messages
• Create logical divisions within a document
• Provide information about when a document was last changed and why
